Board First, Then Every Swing Logged
We start on the deflection board, mapping exactly where your current shaft loads through the tip, mid, and butt sections. From there the launch monitor captures ball speed, launch angle, spin rate, spin axis, and attack angle on every swing, current driver and demo heads side by side.
Together the two data sets answer the real question: is a low, mid, or high kick point the right target for your delivery, and does the head you're testing actually pair with it the way the spec sheet claims?
What Actually Changes in a Driver Fitting
Loft & Face Angle
Adjustable hosels let us dial loft in half-degree steps. A steeper attack angle usually calls for more static loft than the number stamped on the head.
Shaft Bend Class
We treat kick point as a separate variable from flex, testing across bend classes to find the combination that squares the face at the point you actually release it.
Head Design & MOI
Moment of inertia determines how forgiving a head is on off-center strikes. Higher-MOI heads resist twisting on mishits; lower-MOI heads suit players who shape shots on demand.
Length
A shorter, better-controlled driver frequently outperforms a longer one on center-strike percentage, which usually beats a few extra yards of theoretical distance.
Center of Gravity
CG placement shapes launch and spin independent of loft. Low-back CG heads generally raise launch while lowering spin for players chasing carry.
Grip Size
An oversized or undersized grip changes hand action through impact, which can quietly shift face angle at contact. We check grip size on every driver fitting.
What a Bend-Profile Driver Fitting Can Fix
Low, Knuckling Shots
A high kick point paired with insufficient loft is a frequent cause. Dropping to a lower kick class often launches the ball higher without touching flex.
Ballooning in the Wind
Too low a kick point for your release timing can add spin you don't want. A higher kick class, sometimes paired with reduced loft, flattens the flight.
The Slice
A left-to-right spin axis tilt is usually a face-to-path issue, but the right shaft bend and loft combination can meaningfully reduce curvature while you work on mechanics.
Inconsistent Strike Location
If your dispersion pattern is scattered across the face, a higher-MOI head paired with the right length and lie can shrink that pattern significantly.
Fairway Wood Fitting
A fairway wood earns its spot in the bag off the tee and off the deck, which means the bend profile has to hold up on two very different swing types. We test both.
Sole Interaction Changes the Math
A fairway wood has to launch cleanly off a tee and interact with turf without digging, so we spend part of the session on real turf contact — sole camber, leading-edge height, and how the head reacts to a shallow versus steep angle of attack.
Shaft bend still matters as much as it does with the driver, but here the target usually shifts toward a mid or slightly higher kick class, since a lower kick point that helps a driver launch can overcook spin off a tighter fairway lie.

Loft Spread
We check the carry gap against your driver and hybrids before recommending a loft, so the new wood earns a distinct yardage instead of overlapping a club already in the bag.
Shaft Bend Class
Tested off both a tee and a mat to confirm the kick class holds up under two different loading patterns, not just the one that looks best on the range.
Sole Geometry
Wider soles help players who catch the turf steep; narrower, cambered soles suit sweepers who need less resistance through impact.
Hybrid Fitting
The hybrid only works if it fills a real gap instead of duplicating a club already in your bag. We size it against your actual carry numbers and set makeup, not a generic length chart.
Closing the Long-Iron Gap on Purpose
We start by mapping the carry gap between your longest iron and your shortest fairway wood. Wherever that gap runs wider than roughly 15 yards is where a hybrid belongs — not automatically at the four-iron slot just because that's tradition.
Bend profile still drives the launch window here: a lower kick point helps get the ball airborne from tighter lies and rough, which is often the exact problem a struggling long iron creates.

Head Style
Iron-style hybrids suit players who want a more workable, lower flight; wood-style heads generally launch higher and land softer for less confident ball-strikers.
Shaft Bend Class
We test bend classes against your specific miss — typically low kick for players who struggle to get the club airborne, mid or high for those who already launch it fine.
Set Integration
The hybrid's length and bend class are checked against the irons it's replacing so the transition through the bag doesn't create a new gap somewhere else.

We board-test your current set first, checking whether shaft stiffness actually steps evenly from long iron to short iron. Uneven CPM progression is one of the most common, least-diagnosed reasons a set feels inconsistent club to club.
From there we move to the launch monitor to check dynamic lie angle and gapping, comparing every demo option against your own baseline strike.

Putter Fitting

A dedicated putting capture system logs your stroke path, face angle at impact, and tempo across a set of real putts, rather than relying on how a putter "feels" over one or two strokes on a practice green.

Most full-bag sessions run three to four hours across driver, irons, wedges and putter, with the fairway wood and hybrid added wherever the carry gap calls for one. You'll leave with one written bend-profile report instead of six separate slips of paper.
