FAQ

Questions Before You Sit Down at the Board

The things golfers usually ask before booking, and a few they ask right after their first bend-profile reading.

What exactly is a deflection board, and why do I need one?

A deflection board clamps the shaft and measures how much it bends, and where, under a fixed load. It's the only reliable way to see a shaft's actual kick point instead of trusting the flex label printed on the sticker.

Do I need to know anything about shaft terminology before I book?

No. We explain every term as we go, and the shaft guide on this site covers kick point, torque, and flex in plain language if you want a head start.

How long does a session take?

Single-club sessions (driver, fairway wood, hybrid, wedge, or putter) run 45–60 minutes. Iron set fittings run 60–90 minutes. A full bag assessment typically takes 2–3 hours.

Am I obligated to buy clubs after my fitting?

No. You'll receive a full written report covering both the board reading and the launch-monitor data with no obligation to purchase. If you do order, the fitting fee is credited in full.

What should I bring?

Bring the clubs relevant to your fitting, the shoes you normally play in, and a rough sense of your typical scores or handicap if you have one.

Can you just check the kick point on clubs I already own?

Yes. A standalone board reading is available if you only want to confirm what's already in your bag before deciding whether to change anything.

How fast can I get new clubs after ordering?

Most builds finish within a week, since components are stocked and built in-house rather than routed through an outside factory queue.

Do you fit left-handed golfers?

Yes, across every category. Our demo wall stocks left-handed heads and shafts, and the board testing process works identically for either side.

Do you offer adjustments after a build?

Yes. Any loft, lie, or length adjustment requested within 30 days of pickup is included at no extra charge while your swing settles into the new spec.

What areas do you serve?

Our bay is in Winston-Salem, and we regularly see golfers from Kernersville, Clemmons, Lewisville, and High Point.
